The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
Officers responded to the Holiday Inn at 6:59 p.m. Jan. 8 for the report of a theft. The victim reported that someone entered her hotel room and stole a diamond ring worth $1,200.
Lawrence Srinivasan, 54, of Hamilton, N.J., was charged with DUI, DUI in a school zone, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident when stopped on Pebble Road at 9:53 p.m. Jan. 8.
An officer responded to the area of Pebble Road for a vehicle driving erratically and conducted a motor vehicle stop. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the driver was involved in a motor vehicle crash and left the scene. Mr. Srinivasan was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action.
Christina Oleary, 40, of Old Bridge, N.J., was charged with DUI, DUI in a school zone, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, delaying traffic, parking on a crosswalk, obstructing traffic, failure to signal turn, failure to inspect, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to exhibit registration when stopped on Stockton Street at 2:47 a.m. Jan. 9.
An officer was on patrol on Stockton Street and observed a vehicle driving erratically and conducted a motor vehicle stop. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver’s breath. Ms. Oleary was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. She was later released pending court action.
Officers responded to Rite Aid at 2:26 p.m. Jan. 9 for the report of a theft. The victim reported that the suspect left the store without paying for merchandise valued at $327.49.
Josephine Bockarie, 25, of Hillsborough, N.J., was charged with DUI, reckless driving and careless driving after an accident at 3:20 a.m. Jan. 10 at the Days Inn.
An officer responded to the Days Inn for a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported. The officer determined the driver at fault for the crash was impaired and she was given field sobriety tests. Ms. Bockarie was arrested for DUI and later released pending court action.
Officers responded to a residence on Twin Rivers Drive North at 6:52 p.m. Jan. 13 for the report of a burglary and theft. The victim reported that someone entered his bedroom and stole his belongings worth $4,000.
Anubhay Sodhi, 24, of Dayton, N.J., was charged with possession of hypodermic needles, possession of drug paraphernalia and for being under the influence of drugs, DUI, DUI in a school zone, reckless driving, careless driving, having a suspended driver’s license and being an unlicensed driver after being found asleep in his car at 11:55 p.m. Jan.13.
An officer responded to the area of Greenwich Court for a reported suspicious vehicle with a sleeping occupant. Further investigation revealed that the driver was impaired and also in possession of hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Sodhi was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later transferred to the South Brunswick Police Department on an outstanding warrant from that jurisdiction.
