More heavy bands of snow are due to drop some two to seven inches of snow Saturday, the National Weather Service said today.
The snow is due to taper off around midnight, said meteorologist Walter Drag.
So far the town said there have been no power outages or motor vehicle accidents, although roads are slow going.
A small fire in the blower motor of a roof-top heating, ventilating and air conditioning unit at 17 Witherspoon Street drew firefighters from the Princeton Fire Department and surrounding volunteer fire companies in the middle of the blizzard Saturday morning. The fire was reported shortly before 11 a.m. Firefighters discovered heavy smoke on the first floor of the building, which houses the J. McLaughlin clothing store. They extinguished the fire, which did not spread into the building.
Bob Gregory, municipal director of emergency management, said the fire was brought under control and there were no reported injuries.
