MIDDLETOWN — A unique fashion show spanning several centuries will be a highlight of the Monmouth County Historical Association’s ninth annual Red Luncheon, a ladies Valentine event set to begin 11 a.m. Feb. 4 at the Navesink Country Club, 50 Luffburrow Lane, Middletown.
The luncheon will feature a fashion show of historic and contemporary outfits that would be worn specific to each of the Association’s five homes. For example, models will display what a lady would wear to afternoon tea in the 19th century and today.
There will also be boutique vendors of custom jewelry, clothing and home décor, a silent auction and a grand-prize winner of a diamond and ruby gold necklace donated by The Golden Goose jewelry store in Rumson.
Tickets are $125 each. For tickets or more information, call 732-46201466, ext. 19 or visit www.monmouthhistory.org.
