The Metuchen Arts Council will present the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Quintet in a performance of “All Around The World” at 3 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the Metuchen High School Auditorium, 400 Grove Ave., Metuchen. The performance lasts for an hour with a question and answer session.
“All Around The World” is a musical tour with selections performed on trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. This family friendly, interactive performance explores the role of music in many different cultures for celebrations, remembrances, tributes and dances of all types.
The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, under the musical direction of Jacques Lacombe, is comprised of some of the country’s finest musicians. In this program, the members of the NJSO brass section will take the audience on a sampling of music from Argentina, Australia, England, France, German, Israel, Japan and the USA, covering musical genres that include Baroque, Classical, Romantic, marches, folk and ragtime.
