Hillary Clinton is desperate and has called in surrogates Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Albright.
Ms. Steinem said on “Real Time with Bill Maher“ that young women who were supporting Bernie Sanders were doing so because that was where the boys were. While she later apologized, this erstwhile feminist leader’s remarks would have been attacked as “sexist” had they been uttered by a man.
For her part, Ms. Albright, who served in the Clinton Administration as the nation’s first woman Secretary of State, recently said that there was “a special place in hell” for women who did not support sister Hillary in her quest to become the first female U.S. president. This is the same Ms. Albright who, in an interview with Leslie Stahl on “60 Minutes,” stated that the bombing that resulted in killing 500,000 Iraqi children in an effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power while she was Secretary of State was worth it.
She later apologized for this remark but, how does supporting Bernie Sanders over sister Hillary make one more eligible for “a special place in hell” than Albright for her role in this atrocity?
While breaking this ultimate “glass ceiling” is a laudable goal and one that I support, I do not support Hillary Clinton or the shaming of young women who do not support her.
