Metuchen students’ work showcased in exhibit

Six Metuchen students have work showcased in the Middlesex County Arts High School and Arts Middle School Touring Exhibit of Student Work. Piper Finn, Yukthi Sangoi, Madeleine Fenner, Maggie McGuire and Maggie O’Connell each has work exhibited from participation in Visual Arts and Art Photography classes during the Spring 2015 program.

The touring exhibit is displayed at libraries throughout the county between October and August.  It will be presented at the Metuchen Public Library in February and the Edison Public Library in June.

Middlesex County Arts High School and Arts Middle School is a program for students gifted in the arts.  Middle and high school students travel to Middlesex County Community College to participate in classes taught by practicing artists.  Classes include Visual Arts, Photography, Creative Writing, Broadway Vocals, Jazz Improvisation, Film Making, and other art forms. Participants are selected through an audition process.

There are 41 students from Metuchen High School and Edgar Middle School are participating in the Spring 2016 program.
