Library to hold college financial planning workshop

An educational college financial planning workshop regarding college expense planning for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 27 at the South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction.

Learn more about the FAFSA form and other information needed to understand how to maximize the amount of financial aid students are eligible to receive. Also learn how to increase college-related tax deductions and tax credits, how to pick colleges that give the most financial aid, which assets are taken into consideration when the U.S. Department of Education calculates the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and how to pay for college in a failing economy without relying on 529 plans, expensive private student loans or raiding retirement accounts.

The workshop will be presented by Doug Schorpp of Schorpp Capital Management in East Brunswick. For more information, visit http://www.schorppcapital.com/ or e-mail Doug at: [email protected].
