Police responded Feb. 11 to a call at a Titusville residence in which a 17-year-old boy had reportedly damaged property inside the home and was threatening to harm a family member.
Officer Mike Peterson responded at 2:30 p.m.
The juvenile tried to barricade himself in his room and wouldn’t cooperate with responding officers, according to police. The teen was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where he was charged with criminal mischief, harassment, obstructing the administration of law, possession fewer than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The juvenile was released to a relative and his case will be heard in Family Court.

Detective Louis Vastola stopped a car along Route 546 for driving on a flat tire at 4:40 p.m. on Feb. 12. Officer Mike Peterson arrived and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car. Investigation found the driver, Ryan Kelly, 22, of Washington Crossing, Pa., allegedly in possession of a baggie containing marijuana, a metal grinder and a glass pipe containing marijuana residue.
Mr. Kelly was placed under arrest and taken to headquarters, where he was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), drug paraphernalia and CDS in a motor vehicle. Mr. Kelly was released and his case will be heard in municipal court.

Detective Michael Sherman investigated at 9 a.m. Feb. 3 a report of a suspicious car in which the driver had been seen on multiple days possibly drinking alcohol while parked on the street.
Detective Sherman went up to the 17-year-old boy driver and smelled the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the car, police said. Investigation found the teen to have marijuana and a glass pipe containing marijuana residue, police said.
The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), drug paraphernalia and CDS in a motor vehicle. He was released to a relative. The case will be heard in Family Court.

On Feb. 13 a caller reported that a car had come off the Washington Crossing Bridge and hit a stone wall at 5:37 a.m. The caller followed the car to Route 31, where Officer James Klesney found it parked in the area of Woosamonsa Road.
Officer Klesney spoke with the driver, Lucas Yerkes, 26, of Raritan Township (Hunterdon), who allegedly had the odor of alcohol on his breath.
After performing field sobriety tests, Mr. Yerkes was placed under arrest and taken to headquarters, where he was charged with DWI, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, CDS in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Yerkes was later released and his case will be heard in municipal court.

Officer James Hoffman responded a report of a single-car crash on Harbourton-Rocktown Road at 5:40 p.m. Feb. 16 and found a damaged Subaru in a drainage ditch.
The driver, Thomas Glover, 51, of Hamilton, was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The passenger, a 52-year-old Hamilton man, was also taken to an area hospital with a facial injury.
Investigation found Mr. Glover allegedly to be in possession of a narcotic for which he did not have a prescription. After being treated and released from the hospital, Mr. Glover was charged at headquarters with assault by auto, possession of narcotics without a prescription, DWI, reckless driving, having no seatbelt and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
Mr. Glover was lodged at the Mercer County Correction Center until his release on Feb. 17 to another person.
Mr. Glover’s case will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The passenger remained hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.
Hopewell Valley Emergency Services, Pennington First Aid, Union Fire and Rescue, and Capital Health paramedics provided medical care and transport.

Officer Vincent Amabile charged Melissa Bufogle, 25, of Village Square, Pennington, on Feb. 19 with theft of mislaid property.
While employed as a Stop & Shop cashier on Jan. 22, Ms. Bufogle allegedly took a wallet that had been mistakenly left at her check-out and then used a gift card from the wallet at an area retail store. This case will be referred to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Officer Robert Voorhees stopped a car along Pennington Road at 3:24 p.m. Feb. 20 for having an illegal tint on its windows.
While speaking with the driver, Mohamed Abuhmoud, 20, of Hamilton, Officer Voorhees said he smelled the odor of raw and burnt marijuana coming from the car. Investigation found Mr. Abuhmoud to be in possession of loose marijuana, police said. Mr. Abuhmoud was placed under arrest and taken to headquarters, where he was charged with the possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), illegal tinted windows and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. He was later released. The case will be heard in municipal court.
