MIDDLETOWN — The Middletown Township Public Library will host New Jersey Makers Day from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. March 19 at 55 New Monmouth Road.
The statewide event promotes maker culture and learning based on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) as well as growing local economies. Community members of all ages are invited to enjoy a free program filled with exciting activities.
“We are delighted to be able to bring this type of programming to the Middletown community with the help of local sponsors, students and volunteers,” said Ellie Strbo, the library’s youth services manager.
This year’s lineup will feature LEGOs by Ignite Academy, 3-D printing, New Jersey Master Gardeners, science experiments by Allied Health Academy and Brookdale Community College’s Chemistry Club, a Monmouth County Park System ceramic arts demonstration, a 4-H SET Club Waste Wise Challenge, Wild Birds Unlimited, Ozobots, a Monmouth County Vocational School District woodworking demonstration and more.
