Are you looking for an affordable summer camp with caring teachers and flexible schedules? Located at 5053 Woodbridge Ave. in Edison (on the border of Woodbridge/Fords), Wesley Summer Camp is an eight-week themed day program for children ages 2 1/2 to 11 years old. The 2016 camp runs from June 27 through Aug. 19. There is a choice of half-day program (8:30-11:30 a.m.) or full-day program (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m). You can also choose your child’s schedule of three or five days per week. If you choose three days, you can choose which three days your child comes. The children are divided into groups based on age. The preschool-age children begin each day with circle time where they discuss topics such as letters, numbers, shapes, colors, the calendar, and the theme for the week. The older children participate in organized games and more intricate arts and crafts. All groups get time to play outdoors. Activities each week include arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, weekly theme-specific activities and water play. They bring in special events to the camp weekly, and they go on two field trips per summer. The facility has air-conditioned rooms and an outside play area.
