The annual Reformed Church Home Easter Egg Hunt, open to youngsters ages 2-10 from Old Bridge and the surrounding communities, is planned for March 19 on the lawns of the facility,1990 Route 18 North, Old Bridge. Start time will be 9:45 a.m. for ages 2-6, 10:30 a.m. for ages 7-10. The event will be held weather permitting. A rain date has not been set.
Parents are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes in advance of the start times to allow for parking. Children should bring their own Easter baskets to hunt for eggs and wrapped candy. Some Easter eggs will include special prizes. The event also will feature a jelly-bean counting contest, a DJ, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and temporary tattoos applied by Reformed Church Home volunteers and staff.
Facility residents will sell homemade candies. There will be a popcorn sale by the nonprofit Pop In Café, a company that employs adults on the autism spectrum. Proceeds from the popcorn sale will be donated to the charity Let’s Work for Good.
Admission to the event is free of charge.
