The second annual Hopewell Valley Restaurant Week runs from Saturday, March 5, to Sunday, March 13. Restaurants throughout Hopewell Valley will offer special menus for the event, which strives to raise money for FISH (Friends in Service Here), the valley’s own meal delivery program.
Brick Farm Tavern, new to the community and to Restaurant Week, will offer a three-course special in the bar.
“As a special offering, we will be bringing fresh ingredients from our farm partners to a three-course bar menu for $25 for the entire Restaurant Week period. We look forward to seeing our local residents as well as new faces for this special event,” said owner Robin McConaughy. Brick Farm Tavern is located at 130 Hopewell-Rocky Hill Road.
Celebrating 15 years in Hopewell Borough, The Brothers Moon at 7 W. Broad St. in Hopewell Borough will be cooking up special three-course menus for lunch ($20.16) and dinner ($39). Will Mooney, the owner of Brothers Moon, “It’s a great opportunity for folks who have never tried Brothers Moon to give us a try and for us to give them no choice but to come back again. It’s also a excellent reason for our regular patrons to come on out for a great meal and a great cause.”
Antimo Lovine, owner of Antimo’s Italian Kitchen located at 52 East Broad St. in Hopewell Borough, said, “We’ll be making some homemade raviolis and other specials for Restaurant Week.” Antimo’s has been serving homemade Italian specialties and pizza since the mid-1990s.
Hopewell Borough Mayor Paul Anzano said, “Hopewell Valley Restaurant Week is another great example of why our entire valley is becoming a destination for visitors. And, it’s a great reason to come out and dine with neighbors and support own local restaurateurs, many of whom live right in our community.”
At press time, other participating restaurants are Blue Bottle Café, The Boro Bean, Da’s Kitchen, Francos Pizzeria, Hopewell Bistro and Inn, Nomad Pizza, The Peasant Grill, Sweetgrass Restaurant, Diamond’s Restaurant, Pennington Bagel, Subway at Pennington Citgo, Wildflowers, Sumo Sushi, Avanti’s, and Pennington Quality Market. There may be a few more the event grows closer.
FISH (Friends in Service Here) is a non-profit, all-volunteer tax-exempt program serving mobile meals to the homebound of Hopewell, Pennington, Titusville and surrounding areas. Meals are made and subsidized by the Pennington Quality Market on a sliding scale. Monday through Friday. The only requirement is that the client is homebound and this can be on a permanent or temporary basis. Participating restaurants will have envelopes in which patrons can leave a donation or take home and mail directly to F.I.S.H.
