On March 16 at 4:53 p.m. Hopewell Township Officer Joseph McNeil was detailed to East Short Drive on the report of a suspicious person.
The officer said he found Bruce P. King, 47, of Genesse Street, Trenton, on the street. Checking his credentials, a warrant from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department was located for him for failing to register as a sex offender, police said. Other warrants from Ewing and Hamilton Township were located as well.
Mr. King had been working at a residence on East Shore Drive. He was placed under arrest as a fugitive from justice, as well as for contempt, and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center in default of bail.
