Jersey Fresh event comes to Horse Park

The Jersey Fresh International (JFI) equestrian event will take place at the Horse Park of New Jersey, Route 524, Upper Freehold Township, from May 11-15.

The JFI three-day event is one of the most influential international three-day events in the United States, according to a press release. JFI is one of the qualifying selection trials for the U.S. Eventing team that will compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This three-day event features CCI and CIC three-star and two-star divisions, as well as an advanced horse trials division that has been added to the JFI 2016 schedule.

JFI provides a venue for spectators to enjoy a weekend of shopping and entertainment for equestrians and non-equestrians. Spectators can participate in tailgating during the cross country phase, hat decorating contests, children’s activities and more, according to the press release.

Admission is free on May 11 (first jog), May 12 (Dressage phase, day one), and May 13 (Dressage phase, day two).

General admission tickets for May 14-15 will be available at the gate for $10 per person. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge, as will 4-H and FFA members (with ID), Pony Club members (with pin), and military members and their dependents (with ID). Individuals age 65 and older will be admitted at a discount of $5 per person, according to the press release.

General admission does not include admission to VIP/pre-reserved tents or pre-reserved tailgating spots. More information about tailgating and VIP/JFI member packages is available online.
