The Social Community Activities Network (SCAN), in conjunction with Monmouth
University, will host its first “Get Wired” Technology Fair from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. April 2 at the Monmouth Mall, 180 Route 35, Eatontown. This event is open to all.
Keynote speaker Adrianne Berg and Ronald Gelok and Associates will kick off the event and advise attendees to get wired with a motivational look through the eyes of a financial gerontologist and advocate for successful aging.
There will also be technology talks on telehealth. Learn about consulting with a physician remotely, using remote devices and monitors and keeping medical records secure. Learn about home safety and using technology and automation services to promote independent living.
The fair will conclude with breakout sessions with students from Monmouth University who will assist attendees with their electronic devices, including smartphones and tablets.
