WEST LONG BRANCH — A TEDxNavesink Makers conference will take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 9 at Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre at 400 Cedar Ave.
The annual conference will feature talks by 30 makers from around the globe who see objects to be hacked, deconstructed and reconstructed into something better. Manufacturing has moved into garages and living rooms, and the do-it-yourself mentality is now an industry.
General admission is $70 or $40 for guests under age 40 and includes admission to a Makers Gallery exhibition, lunch with breakout speaker sessions and an evening cocktail reception. For tickets or more information, visit http://tedxnavesink.com.
