Hillsborough police reported three incidents of burglary of vehicles in overnight hours.
A Farm Road resident reported March 9 that his unlocked vehicle was entered during overnight hours, and clothing and personal items valued at $1,200 were taken.
A Capricorn Drive resident said March 9 that her unlocked vehicle was entered during overnight hours, and loose change and personal items were taken. In addition, she said her son’s bicycle which was chained to a nearby bike rack, had one of its wheels stolen. The value of items was put at $283.
A Sunnyside Lane resident reported March 11 that he interrupted a burglary to his mother’s unlocked vehicle parked in the roadway in front of their home.
At 4:45 a.m. after seeing a man inside the vehicle, he went outside and yelled. The man jumped into the passenger seat of a waiting vehicle, which sped away, police said. Nothing was reported taken from the vehicle.
In other incidents reported by police:
– Tyler DeLeo, 20, and Alex Ferrao, 20, both of Hillsborough, were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after it was found in the vehicle they were occupying on Feb. 18. They were released pending a municipal court appearance.
– Trufena Okumu, 28, of Hillsborough was charged March 13 with driving while intoxicated after her vehicle was stopped by police on Route 206 on March 13. She was charge with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and failure to display an inspection sticker, She was released and given a date to come to court.
– Two people were charged with shoplifting from a Hillsborough supermarket on Feb. 19.
Township police charged Dawn Jones, 62, of Hillsborough and Rayne Stryker, 57, of Princeton with putting $131.22 worth of merchandise in their pocketbooks and leaving the Stop & Shop store on Route 206.
Both were released pending an appearance in municipal court.
– Hillsborough police also reported that James Sanetti, 51, of Hillsborough was charged with driving while intoxicated Feb. 12 after being stopped by police on South Branch Road.
He was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, refusing to submit to a breath sample, being an unlicensed driver, using a cell phone while driving and failing to stay in one lane. He was released and given a date to come to court.
