The Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre’s 12th annual gala and fundraiser, “The Passion of Alborada,” is planned for 3-8 p.m. April 3 at Ria Mar Restaurant, 25 Whitehead Ave., South River.
The event, which will celebrate 20 years of Alborada, will feature a buffet-style, all-Spanish banquet with sangria and desserts, performances by the Alborada dancers and musicians and flamenco music for dancing. There will be door prizes, silent auctions and more. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Spanish-themed clothing; a prize will be awarded for best outfit.
Alborada will honor the Bank of Woodbridge: A Division of BCB Community Bank, for its dedication, support and outreach to the Woodbridge community and for its leadership as sponsor of the dance troupe’s Feria de Sevilla annual outdoor dance and live-music festival.
Tickets for the fundraiser cost $75 in advance, $80 at the door, $700 for a table of 10.
