WEST WINDSOR POLICE BLOTTER: March 31


An 80-year-old West Windsor man reported that someone in Washington State has obtained his personal information and has been applying for new credit cards from Capital One Bank and Citibank. He received several calls from the banks since the beginning of February regarding the credit card applications. The incident was reported at 5:03 p.m. Feb. 19. 
 A 43-year-old West Windsor woman reported that her debit card information was stolen and that multiple purchases had been made in Eatontown, Long Branch and Moorestown, as well as in New York, between Feb. 19 and Feb. 21. The incident was reported at 12:54 p.m. Feb. 22. 
 A shoplifter and two accomplices nearly made off with an assortment of DVDs that she had allegedly concealed inside a woman’s cheetah-style handbag from Walmart at 8:47 p.m. Feb. 26. When the shoplifter was confronted by a store loss prevention officer, she tossed the handbag and its contents into his arms and jumped into a waiting car that left the scene. 
 Brian Billings, 47, of Street, Maryland, was charged with shoplifting for taking an assortment of food and clothing from Walmart at 7:51 p.m. March 9. Allegedly he put the items in a shopping cart and tried to leave the store without paying for them. 
 Cynthia A. McCulloch, 57, of West Windsor Township, was charged with shoplifting for taking two purses from Walmart at 3:57 p.m. March 11. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for $114 from Robbinsville Township Municipal Court. 
 A 51-year-old New York City resident reported the theft of his 2012 Honda Insight from the Canal Pointe development sometime between October 2015 and March 11 at 11:24 a.m. He moved from Canal Pointe and left the car behind because he was unable to find a reasonably priced place to park it in New York City. He discovered the theft when he came back to pick up the car and could not find it. 
 Assorted tools were stolen from a 2001 Ford van and a 2005 Chevrolet van while the vehicles were parked at the hospital fete grounds. In both cases, the lock on the rear sliding door on the passenger side was punched out to gain entry. The burglaries were reported between 3:17 p.m. and 3:32 p.m. March 18. 
