Longtime Manville Borough Councilwoman Susan Asher declined to file a petition for renomination by Monday.
Two three-year seats will be up for election this year in the June 7 primary.
Democratic candidates who filed are Philip Petrone, the retired Borough Clerk, and former councilman Ronald Skirkanish, who lost a re-election bid in 2015.
Republicans have four people seeking party nods.
Michael Kassick, who was appointed to fill an unexpired term at the beginning of the year, is one candidate. Joseph Lukac III, a former Democratic council candidate and one of four Republican candidates for mayor in the 2015 primary, also filed.
Two other candidates are Brandon Agans and Stephen Rodzinak.
Ms. Asher lost the mayor’s race to Angelo Corradino, a Democrat, in 2011. She placed third among four in the 2015 GOP primary. She first served on council in 2001, winning five terms.
