Saint Peter’s University Hospital to hold blood drive April 11

Members of the public are encouraged to donate blood from 2-7:30 p.m. on April 11, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital’s Sister Marie de Pazzi Conference Center, New Brunswick, where Christine Leso of Green Brook, whose life was saved during child birth thanks to a ready supply of whole blood, will be on hand to greet and thank all participants.

“Because of the generosity of volunteer blood donors like you, I have been able to watch my son thrive and grow every day,” Leso said. “This past year Joey has learned to ride his bike and run and play with his siblings. Your commitment to this life-saving, selfless act is the reason Joey and I are alive today.”

Parking is free. Walk-ins are welcome or the public may call for an appointment at 732-235-8100, ext. 221. Appointments are also available at www.rwjuhdonorclub.org

Gifts, prizes and gourmet cupcakes will be offered to all donors.
