HOPEWELL TWP.: Woman employee charged with theft of $200 worth of sandwiches

A Trenton woman was charged March 22 for allegedly stealing about $200 worth of sandwiches from her employer.
Hopewell Township Officer Mark Panzano responded at 11:11 a.m. to a report of a theft at a business on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road. During his investigation the officer was told that a store employee identified as Talaya Dixon, 34, of Oakland Street, Trenton, had stolen numerous sandwiches over the course of several weeks.
She was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, from where she was charged with theft and released. Her case will be reviewed by the county prosecutor.

— On March 20 at 2:16 a.m. Hopewell Township Officer Christopher Vaccarino located a suspicious vehicle parked in a business parking lot on Reed Road when the business was closed. He spoke with the occupants and identified the passenger as Marquis D. McNair, 20, of Hawthorne Avenue, Ewing, and found him to be wanted on a West Windsor Municipal Court warrant. He was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, from where he was processed and released on bail.
– On March 27 at 9:50 p.m. township Officer Alexis Mirra checked a suspicious vehicle parked on Bear Tavern Road. She spoke with the driver, who was identified as Phillip S. Troegner, 64, of Bear Tavern Road.
The officer said she smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath and his body. After roadside sobriety testing, he was arrested and taken to headquarters, from where he was released to a family member after being charged with driving while under the influence and reckless driving. His case will be heard in municipal court.
