Eric Evans, left, and Thomas Pietrulewicz were honored by the Eagle Scout Court of Honor on April 10, 2016. These Monroe Township boys have been together since first grade and have continued through Cub Scouts and Boys Scouts together. Eric’s project was a wet meadow/rain garden in Monroe’s community garden on Applegarth Road. The garden serves as a rainwater filter for the runoff from Applegarth Road before it flows into the Mill´stone River. Thomas’ project was to refurbish the outside of the Dey Farm historic farm´house. He replaced all the old shutters, scraped and painted the entire house and removed the old landscaping and installed a new brick border and plants.
