The class “Grow Your Business Using ReferenceUSA” will be held on Wednesday, April 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Hickory Corner Branch of the Mercer County Library System.
Ideal for small to medium-sized businesses, attendees will conduct searches for potential new clients as well as competitors. Using the same information, job seekers can search for potential employers in a specific area and of a specific size.
ReferenceUSA is a free database information tool available to all patrons of the Mercer County Library System that can be used from home or office. The class is free and open to the public.
Like an ultra- modern and enormous phone book, ReferenceUSA compiles data on 24 million businesses in the United States. This includes business size, brands, locations and products. Company information often includes a list of executives and contact information.
At the class on April 27, librarians will demonstrate how to use the database, including the newer data collections, which provide searchable data on 254 million U.S. consumers/lifestyles, 4.2 million new businesses, 15 million U. S. new homeowners/movers, 1.9 million Canadian businesses and 143 million U.S. standard White Pages.
