- A 52-year-old West Windsor resident reported that his identity might have been exposed to potential illegal use by a scammer who contacted his company’s payroll department through an isolated email phishing scam. By the time the scam was recognized, W-2 information from the company’s U.S. employees in 2015 was disclosed. The incident occurred between March 10 and March 28.
- A bicycle belonging to a 32-year-old West Windsor resident was reported stolen from the porch at his home in the Windsor Woods apartment complex March 29. The bicycle was locked, but it was not locked to the porch.
- Two men attempted to take two Epson printers from Walmart at the Nassau Park Pavilion at 5:46 p.m. March 30. One man used wire cutters to remove the security tag on a printer, substituted a price tag from a lesser-priced item on it, and paid for it. The second man made an unsuccessful attempt to shoplift the second printer at the self-checkout. When the men were confronted by a store loss prevention officer in the parking lot, one of the men started to walk back into the store toward the security office, but then fled the area. Both printers were recovered by the loss prevention officer.
- A 30-year-old Philadelphia resident reported the theft of his backpack, which contained a work computer and other work-related items, at 1:51 p.m. April 4. The victim said he last saw the backpack while he was having lunch at PF Chang’s restaurant on Route 1 at 1:30 p.m. April 1.
- A trio of shoplifters attempted to take a shopping cart full of food from Walmart at the Nassau Park Pavilion at 8:51 p.m. April 6. One suspect entered the store and then walked out of the store as she was talking on her cellphone. About a minute later, a second suspect was observed pushing a cart full of food and merchandise, and tried to leave without paying for the items. The store loss prevention officer found the two suspects outside the store. They left the cart behind and jumped into a waiting car driven by a third suspect.
- Willie M. Lowery Jr., 57, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession of a hypodermic needle (15 sealed needles) and being a fugitive following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 south at 12:12 a.m. April 7. He was also found to be driving while his license was suspended, and a check for warrants revealed that he had multiple warrants from Paterson, Upper Saddle River and Ramsey municipal courts. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $5,500 bail with the 10 percent option, in addition to the bail for the outstanding warrants.
- Four DeWalt drills, valued at a combined $874.98, were reported stolen from Lowe’s on Route 1 by four shoplifters who entered the store April 2. The four men entered the store, went directly to the area where the drills were on display, and each grabbed a drill and left the store without paying. The incident was reported at 12:04 p.m. April 7.
