HILLSBOROUGH: Police charge man with hindering apprehension

Hillsborough police said they arrested a New Brunswick man April 7 who was apparently trying to avoid them because he had several pending arrest warrants.

Chuckly Stringer, 55, was charged with hindering apprehension after providing false information to police when his vehicle was stopped on Route 206. He was also charged with speeding and driving while his license was suspended. He was turned over to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department for his warrants.

Hillsborough police also reported two incidents of driving while under the influence.

Kevin Carroll, 47, of Hillsborough was charged with DWI after he allegedly crashed his vehicle on River Road on March 20, according to police. His blood alcohol content was recorded at 0.10 percent, police said.

Justin Kozik, 27, of Hillsborough was charged with DWI after he was stopped March 29 in his vehicle on Valinor Drive. His blood alcohol content was sent for laboratory analysis.
Both men were released after given dates to come to court.
