MATAWAN — The toe-tapping, finger-snapping rhythms of The Rhythm Kings Dixieland Band, along with a hot Southern meal, will return to the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, 883 Highway 34, at 5 p.m. April 24.
Audience members can enjoy chili (both meat and vegetarian), cornbread and dessert while they listen to the band’s sparkling counterpoint and playful arrangements. Saxophonist Jerry Rife, professor of music at Rider University, will lead an ensemble that includes trumpet, saxophones, tuba, drums and banjo.
Tickets in advance are $15 for adults and $10 for children and senior citizens. Tickets will cost an additional $5 at the door. For more information, call 732-566-2663.
