PRINCETON: Teen girl injured after bike she was riding struck by car

A 15-year-old girl suffered injuries to her left arm, left leg, right hand and face after she was struck by a car at the intersection of Jefferson Road and Valley Road at 7:26 a.m. April 21, according to the Princeton Police Department.
The girl was riding south on Jefferson Road, near Valley Road, when the accident happened, police said. As she rode into the intersection, her bicycle was struck by a car driven by Barbara Purnell, 76, of Princeton. Ms. Purnell was driving east on Valley Road.
The girl was thrown from the bicycle and landed on the ground. She was wearing a helmet, police said. She was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment.
Ms. Purnell was not injured. No summonses have been issued because the accident is still under investigation, police said.
