Goalies Matthew Whitlock and Will Stover were outstanding as the Hopewell under-10 boys Riptides shut out Cranford, 1-0.
Brandon Napoleon scored the goal off an assist by Garrett Wille. The Riptides dominated the midfield through the play of Kieran Karp, Lukas Ansari andAlex Romano.
Charlie Stocks-Natalias and Rex Peters anchored the defense, while Cameron Velez, Christian Mayer, and Daniel Golian contributed well on offense.

The under-11 Hopewell Bolts won both of its games over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Bolts hammered the Clark Crushers, 8-3. Tom Hooks started the scoring outburst with a well-placed free kick just outside the 18-yard line and added another goal later in the game. Ethan Gross and Han Sol Kim also both scored two goals and Aldo Branham and Henry Garnich each added one.
On Sunday, the Bolts edged the first-place Cranford Crew, 2-1. After falling behind early, the Bolts pulled even on a free kick by Kevin Ellis. Ellis then played an excellent long ball to Liam Sciple who scored the game-winner. Defenders Gross, Branham, Gunnar Casano and Alex Luedeke repeatedly turned back the Cranford attack and Garnich preserved the victory by chasing down a Cranford breakaway in the final minutes.
Goalkeeper Tim McKeown was outstanding in both victories.
