Coldwell Banker of Rumson/Fair Haven supports Bayshore Lunch Program

Volunteers from the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Rumson/Fair Haven real estate office purchased, cooked and served meals to the hungry at the Community Church of Keyport’s Bayshore Lunch Program as part of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event in April.

The Rumson/Fair Haven office raises money year-round for the program — about $100 a month — and has volunteered on every third Wednesday of the month for over a year. Affiliated agent Liz Scott purchases most of the ingredients. Everyone in the office is always on the lookout for good deals, such as hams that are on sale. Volunteers gather at 9:30 a.m. at the church and cook ham, green beans, Scott’s homemade macaroni and cheese (her secret recipe) and salad. They usually serve about 50 people, but there have been as many as 80.

All 52 real estate offices affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. gave back to local communities via charitable efforts as part of the fourth annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event. Each office selected a Cares Day service project, with most of them taking place April 14-16.

In total, more than700 volunteers worked a combined 3,000-plus hours during Cares Day. They collected multiple carloads of food, clothes and other needed goods, as well as more than $9,000 in financial donations for local charities through Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares’ primary purpose is to provide financial assistance to charitable organizations where Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has a presence. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares is a chapter of the Realogy Charitable Foundation, Inc.
