The Shore Region of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) will host a monthly Networking Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on May 5 at Rooney’s Oceanfront Restaurant, 100 Ocean Ave. North, Long Branch. The speaker is Theodora Sergiou, owner, vice president, and COO of Nicholas Pools Inc., Toms River. Her talk is called “Be Your Own Treasure Box,” in which she will present marketing ideas and strategies for business owners to promote themselves as well as their businesses.
Theodora holds an MBA from Rider University and a BS from Georgian Court University, where she is also an adjunct professor of marketing and management. She was named a recognized leader in the industry by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals with the 2013 International Award of Excellence for residential vinyl-lined free-form pools. Theodora was honored as a Woman of Distinction in 2015 by the Professional Women in Construction, and named a Top 25 Leading Woman Entrepreneur and Business Owner by New Jersey Monthly in 2014. She has also been featured in the Forbes special New Jersey Women Business Leaders section. And in July 2016, Theodora will be honored with an award from the Women With Vision of Ocean County. Her company, Nicholas Pools, builds, renovates, and services swimming pools and hot tubs throughout Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex Counties.
