A French ephemeral boutique named “Oh-la-la!” will pop up on Friday and Saturday, May 6-7, in the Hopewell Railroad Station, 2 Railroad Place.
Organized by a group of French artisans, designers and sellers, the 8th edition of “Oh-la-la! Ephemeral boutique” will bring a garden-like atmosphere, with gift ideas, refined products and pieces of art for all budgets.
“Oh-la-la!” is back in Hopewell following its November edition. Each time the sale is different in terms of display and participants. This eighth event will feature French artisanal confectioneries, oil paintings, arts photographs, home textile and decor, handmade tailored clothing, kids book, jewelry and sculptures.
The theme for the sale is “Cote Jardin,” which means that the boutique will be set to create a bucolic and relaxing garden atmosphere. Visitors can expect to see high-quality, refined products, many of them homemade or imported from France. New in 2016, the “Café de la gare” will carry French snacks (like quiches), “cafe gourmand” (a cup of coffee served with a selection a treats) and breakfast cafe-croissants.
On Friday from 6-8 p.m., a special ladies night out is proposed with deals and surprises. A trunk show will feature guest Cristina Depascal, with a fashion show presenting her summer collection of urban and refined Parisian small dresses, handmade and tailored in New-Jersey.
The Oh-la-la team who will welcome visitors include Catherine Arnoux (illustrator and writer), Sophie Bailly-Soulier (furniture redesigner and owner of Tacks and Fabrics), Sandrine Ducos (Jewelry La Dune), Carole Jury (artist and painter), Marie-Mathilde Laplanche (artist), Anne-Elisabeth Mugnier (artisan confectioner and owner of Les Delices d’Annelise), Laurent Ouzilou (artist-photographer).
