Robbinsville couple honored by Boy Scouts

The husband and wife team of David and Marilyn Yasko of Robbinsville have each been honored by the Mercer Area District of the Boy Scouts with the District Award of Merit.
Marilyn is the Religious Awards Coordinator for the district and is a member of two Catholic committees on scouting She has provided critical support to many district events, serving on the staffs of Scoutnado, the American Revolution Camporee and the Scout Wars event at Ockanickon Scout Reservation.
She was instrumental in moving her son’s Cub pack from no recognition to the Gold level.
Outside of Scouting she is active at St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church.
David Yasko also is a member of the Mercer Area District committee. He serves as both an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 7575 in Groveville and as Chartered Representative for Cub Scout Pack 79 in Robbinsville.
He served as chairman for the Scout Wars Camporee-Cub-A-Rama and is a merit badge counselor. He also has been Archery Director at Cub Scout Day Camp.
He has previously been honored with the Scouter Training Award, Scouter’s Key, Unit Leader Award and Powder Horn Award.
