The Board of Directors of the Edison Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the 17th annual Edison Achievement Awards, which include a dozen residents and business people in the greater Edison area. The awards ceremony will take place 5:30 p.m. June 7 at Pines Manor, 2085 Route 27, Edison.
Each year in February, the Edison Chamber of Commerce opens up nominations for the awards, allowing anyone to nominate a business, organization or person for an award. The awards are part of the Edison Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to highlighting the people, businesses and organizations that make Edison a great place to live, work and raise families.
Award winners include:
- Chamber Member of the Year: Adrienne Brattole of Tix City;
- Large Business of the Year: Dee Inman of Investor’s Bank;
- Medium Business of the Year: Pat Grazioso of Provident Bank;
- Small Business of the Year: Kevin Berta of Ad Café;
- Organization of the Year — Community Spirit: Tom Coughlin, BCB Bank of Woodbridge;
- Citizen of the Year — Community Spirit: Fernando Silva of Edison Arts Society;
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Jill Justin of Jill Justin Dance Alliance;
- Franchisee of the Year: Paras Raimugia of AdvantaClean;
- Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Dalia Juarez of Middlesex County College;
- U.S. Veteran Business of the Year: Carl Venable of AlphaGraphics — Edison;
- Educator of the Year: Colleen Kelly of Woodrow Wilson Middle School;
- Baerenbach Scholarship: Ahmad Najmi of Middlesex County College.
Tickets for the awards ceremony are $65 each, and tables of 10 are available for $600. The event will feature cocktails and a buffet dinner. A portion of funds collected will benefit the Edison Chamber of Commerce/Annamae Baerenbach Scholarship for an Edison resident attending Middlesex County College.
