Coldwell Banker plants sensory garden at Veterans Park in Kendall Park

Volunteers from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in South Brunswick performed their annual planting of the sensory garden at Veterans Park in Kendall Park as part of the real estate company’s statewide Coldwell Banker Cares Day event in April.

“This project is a small way for us to give back to this incredible community that has done so much for us,” said Sabrina Kober, branch vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in South Brunswick.

Sales associates affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage South Brunswick office, as well as office staff, gathered at Veterans Park to clean up the grounds and prepare and plant garden beds. A section of Veterans Park is designed as a sensory garden with plants that appeal to all five senses. This includes flowers with bright colors and nice aromas, grass that rustles in the wind, herbs like spearmint that have a pleasant taste, and plants such as silver sage that are covered in downy cotton wool.

All 52 real estate offices affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York, gave back to local communities via charitable efforts as part of the fourth annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event. More than 700 volunteers worked a combined 3,000-plus hours during Cares Day. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares’ primary purpose is to provide financial assistance to charitable organizations where Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has a presence. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares is a chapter of the Realogy Charitable Foundation, Inc.
