PRINCETON: University student punched, robbed of wallet at traffic light

A Princeton University student was robbed of her wallet on Alexander Street at the traffic light in front of Forbes Annex shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
The 19-year-old female undergraduate student was approached from behind by a man, who punched her twice in the face. He took her wallet and fled toward the Springdale Golf Course, following the 1:41 a.m. incident.
The student was offered medical attention, but declined.
The man was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with a white drawstring.
The Princeton Police Department and the Princeton University Department of Public Safety responded to the area immediately, but could not find the man.
The incident remains under investigation by Princeton University’s Department of Public Safety. Anyone with information on the incident should call the Department of Public Safety at 609-258-1000.
