Franklin Williams, Savannah, Georgia
By way of introduction, I am a descendent of cfficers from the Colonies of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, who served Gen. George Washington in the Continental Army.
Is there no one among your acquaintances who has the stature to influence the parties responsible for this most egregious lapse in common sense and their continuing refusal to recant their misunderstanding of the importance of preserving Princeton’s Battlefield for ourselves and our posterity?
If you do have such influence, please use it at once. In the past such error in judgment would have brought immediate ostracism from polite society and the company of persons of letters and serious thinking. I leave it to you to find the most appropriate way to reach these wayward thinking trustees of this most precious and sacred battleground.
