After a record-breaking 10th season, NBC’s top-rated summer series America’s Got Talent returns with some big news. Got Talent creator and executive producer Simon Cowell joins the judges’ panel alongside Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel. The 11th season will premiere on Tuesday, May 31 from 8 to 10 p.m. Nick Cannon is back as host and the series returns to Los Angeles this summer. America’s Got Talent has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing unique performers from across the country.
Hallmark Channel will kick off its annual June Weddings programming event by airing its original movie Wedding Bells on Saturday, June 4 at 9 p.m. The movie stars Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years), Kavan Smith (When Calls the Heart), Bruce Boxleitner (Cedar Cove) and Tammy Gillis (Unleashing Mr. Darcy). Molly Quinn is a young New York fashion designer who would rather be single than risk being hurt by love. Meeting a handsome chef, serving as the wedding planner for her best friend and finding an old collection of inspiring love letters may just change her thinking.
So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation returns for a 13th season Monday, May 30 at 8 p.m. on Fox. This season, dancers between the ages of 8 and 13, who are skilled in various dance styles, such as contemporary, tap, hip hop, ballroom, animation or breaking, will compete for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer. Thirteen year old sensation Maddie Ziegler will serve as a judge, alongside Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo. This season will also feature returning host Cat Deeley. After an initial round, the top 10 dancers will be partnered permanently with a SYTYCD all-star, with access to world-renowned choreographers. Through a weekly elimination process, a winner is named on the season finale.
