Betty M. Shauley Elliot died May 25, 2016, at Sunrise Assisted Living in East Brunswick. She was 92. Born in New Florence, Pennsylvania, she resided in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, before moving to East Brunswick in 1963.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, she was a medical secretary for University Orthopedics, New Brunswick, where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Johnstown for over 50 years. Mrs. Elliott was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 1996 and her son, James, in 2009.
Surviving are her son, Harry and his wife, Connie, of Medellin, Columbia; two daughters, Kathy Krygier and her husband, Jim, of Jamesburg, and Diane Shea and her husband, Michael, of East Brunswick; daughter-in-law, Linda Elliott, of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Landy Fox, Amanda Elliott, Lucy Sexton, Courtney Elliott, Megan Judah and Bethany Holloway; and great grandchildren, Gracie, Evelyn, Callan, Ashley, Emily, James and Andrew.
The Elliott, Shea and Krygier families would like to thank all her wonderful caregivers at Sunrise Assisted Living in East Brunswick during the past three years. The staff was wonderful! Also, the home health aides, hospice nurses and doctors who took such good care of our mom. We would like to thank all our friends and special neighbors who have supported us through this most difficult journey.
