USA Network will premiere its one-hour drama series Queen of the South on Thursday, June 23 at 10 p.m. Based on the bestselling novel “La Reina Del Sur” by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, the series tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico. In the process, she teams up with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run. Alice Braga stars in the role of Teresa.
The suspenseful new murder mystery American Gothic will premiere Wednesday, June 22 at 10 p.m. on CBS Television Network. From Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, the series is about a prominent Boston family reeling in the wake of the chilling discovery that someone in their midst is linked to an infamous string of murders. Shocking secrets are revealed, threatening to tear the family apart. American Gothic stars Juliet Rylance, Antony Starr and Virginia Madsen, in addition to an equally strong supporting cast.
