Plays-in-the-Park will present the first offering of its summer 2016 season, “The Little Mermaid,” from June 15-25, excluding June 19. The show begins at 8:30 p.m., except for the performances on June 20 and 21, which start at 7:30 p.m.
Plays-in-the-Park (PIP) is located at the Stephen J. Capestro Theater within Roosevelt Park at 1 Pine Drive, Edison. PIP offers an Audio Description performance on June 17, with a rain date of June 18. There will be an open captioned performance June 20, with a rain date of June 21, and a performance with sign language interpretation on June 22, rain date June 23.
“The Little Mermaid” will be directed and produced by Gary P. Cohen and choreographed by Michelle Massa. The musical director will be John Brzozowski.
Tickets can only be purchased on the nights of performances. The box office opens at 5:30 on the evenings of performances and closes at 9. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for seniors (60+). Children 12 and under are admitted for free.
In recognition of their continuing service to our country, the Middlesex County Freeholders are proud to offer complimentary admission to the summer musicals for active U.S. Military Service members and their immediate families. There will be a select number of reserved seats available for each performance. Service members are asked to call the Parks Office at 732-745-3936 prior to the show they wish to attend for reservations. Proper ID is required when picking up tickets.
If a performance is canceled due to inclement weather, tickets can be used to attend any other PIP performance at no additional charge. Ticket stubs are valid up to one year after the canceled performance.
