HILLSBOROUGH: Driver of overturned truck faces two tickets

The driver of a tandem dump that hit a utility pole and overturned June 2 received traffic summonses for careless driving and failure to maintain a lane, according to Hillsborough Township police.
The accident blocked Amwell Road near Rine Road for several hours, according to police.
Investigation showed the truck, which is owned by Hicks Paving of Hampton, was being driven east by Carl Price, 38, of Glen Gardner. Police found Mr. Hicks out of the truck with no injuries.
The truck was loaded with some type of liquid asphalt substance, a small amount of which spilled onto the roadway and needed to be cleaned up, police said.
Besides police, fire and rescue squad departments, also responding were PSE&G, CenturyLink and Comcast, police said. 
