Jeers to the impending reboot-apolooza.
The next season is bringing us rehashed editions of Shooter, Taken, The Exorcist, Star Trek, Lethal Weapon, Training Day, MacGyver, Prison Break, 24, Tales From the Crypt, Time After Time and Emerald, a wickedly stylized version of The Wizard of Oz that looks like Fashion Week on poppy seeds.
Jeers to Game of Thrones
for offing Hodor and chivalry in one tragic swoop. Turns out, it can kill you to hold the door. Especially if it’s against marauding White Walkers.
Cheers to Law & Order: SVU
for criminally smart casting. Everybody loves Brad Garrett, but now we also fear the Emmy-winning funnyman after his dark and disturbing turn as a sexually corrupt corrections officer. Garrett gave Season 17 one of its most arresting performances.
Cheers to The Bachelorette
for delivering equal-opportunity insanity. Proving that it’s not just the ladies of The Bachelor who bring the bonkers, this year’s crop of hotties vying for JoJo Fletcher’s heart are just as needy (Will), nasty (Chad) and naked (Daniel) as the franchise’s female contestants.
