HILLSBOROUGH: Boom truck hits railroad overpass on Route 206  

Hillsborough Police said a driver of a boom truck struck the railroad overpass on Route 206 at Old Camplain Road at about 1:48 p.m. Tuesday
Police said the preliminary investigation showed that the truck driver, Edward P. Buck, 63, of Dunellen was driving a 2007 Mac truck south on Route 206 when his truck’s boom struck the overpass, causing the truck to partially overturn and wedging it inside the overpass. The driver was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center Somerset for minor injuries.
The road was closed between Camplain Road and Duke’s Parkway West where a detour was in place.
The motor vehicle crash is under investigation by the Hillsborough Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 908-369- 4323. 
In addition to police, responding to the scene were Hillsborough fire companies from Flagtown, Route 206 and Woods Road, as well as Hillsborough Office of Emergency Management, Norfolk Southern Railroad, state Department of Transportation and the Hillsborough Rescue Squad’s Unit 79.
