WEST WINDSOR — A West Windsor Township man who was arrested on a federal warrant at a home on South Post Road last week now faces additional weapons and drug possession charges, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Alexander Rosario, 41, of South Post Road, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession of stolen property, maintaining a narcotics production facility and weapons charges, said Casey DeBlasio, spokeswoman for the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mr. Rosario, who did not turn up for a federal court appearance in New York, was arrested June 15 on a federal arrest warrant by Mercer County Prosecutor’s Detective Kevin Searing and members of the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, Ms. DeBlasio said.
When they attempted to serve the federal warrant, they saw Mr. Rosario and heroin in plain view, Ms. DeBlasio said. After obtaining a search warrant, the officers found eight bricks of heroin, three handguns —including one with a silencer — and 10 grams of crack cocaine. They also found about $3,000 in cash.
Mr. Rosario is being held in the Mercer County Correction Center on $750,000 cash bail.
