PRINCETON – Good Grief, a bereavement program, is currently accepting registrations for its third annual golf outing, which will take place Monday, Aug. 15, at the exclusive TPC Jasna Polana’s award-winning championship golf course in Princeton.
Guests are invited to enjoy a relaxing day of golf, networking, food and fun. Following a day of golf, attendees can wind down at the course’s clubhouse for a celebratory dinner and awards. The event runs from 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. The cost is $450 per golfer and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, cart fees, beverages during lunch and golf, cocktails, dinner and a silent auction. Corporate and golfer packages are available, in addition to event sponsorship opportunities.
“We are grateful for the many volunteer hours and selfless sponsorship support that has gone into the planning of our third annual Gold Outing,” says CEO Joe Primo. “We invite members of our community to do their part for the cause by attending this exciting and fun event.”
Outing co-chair, Irvin Urken, with Northwestern Mutual stated, “Good Grief’s programs and the help they provide families coping with loss is close to my heart. My father died when I was 10 years old, and I have seen what grief does to individuals and families first hand.” Co-chair Robert Meirowitz M.D. of Princeton Gastroenterology Associates added, “I want to give back to people who are struggling with grief. I am happy to help this cause in hopes that we can make a difference for families who need love and support from others during their darkest hours.”
Dr. Meirowitz lost his wife when his children were 15 and 18 years old. Meirowitz went on to say, “One in seven children will lose a parent or sibling before the age of twenty. Good Grief can’t eliminate their grief journey, but we can make it more manageable. We need the help of our community to do so. We are so grateful to our 2016 Good Grief golf outing sponsors: AmeriHealth, Atlantic Health System, Bayer Healthcare, BlackRock, Celgene, JBK Associates, Princeton HealthCare System, and Private Advisor Group.”
