The Hightstown Cultural Arts Commission presented a check to Rise Food Pantry, a donation from the “Empty Bowls” hunger event sponsored and hosted by the Hightstown Cultural Arts Commission at the VFW Hall. Bowls were created by potter Adam Welch, and filled with soup donated by local restaurants, including Byrne Cafe, 12 Farms, Pompeii Catering, Mannino’s, Tavern on the Lake, Fernando’s and Legends Grille. Bread was donated by Panera. Sponsors included Berkshire Hathaway Realtors, CBSI, VFW, St. David’s Church, and individual donors.
