MONTGOMERY POLICE BLOTTER: June 23

  • Edward V. Arnold, 58, of Belle Mead, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after the car he was driving struck a mailbox on Morris Place at 11:09 p.m. June 21 and he left the scene. 
  • Lucas Staudinger, 27, of Hillsborough Township, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to report an accident after he was involved in a single-car accident on Dutchtown-Zion Road at 10:48 p.m. June 15. 
  • Gregory Motta, 21, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples after he approached a police officer in the parking lot of the Wawa store on Route 206 at 2:13 a.m. June 15. He asked the officer to look at his ear because he had injured it in a motor vehicle accident near Seton Hall University. Mr. Motta declined medical attention, but showed signs of being intoxicated. He admitted to drinking prior to driving to the Wawa, and was given field sobriety tests by the police officer. 
