PRINCETON POLICE BLOTTER: June 23

  • Jessica Trout, 31, of Ewing Township, was turned over to Princeton police after she was arrested by West Windsor Township police on an outstanding warrant for $500 issued by Princeton Municipal Court. She was turned over to the Princeton police at 2:28 a.m. June 21. 
  • Christopher Markey, 19, of Skillman, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped by police for a maintenance of lamps violation on Nassau Street at 11:59 p.m. June 20. 

  • An Apple iPad 4, valued at $549, was reported stolen from the 200 block of William Livingston Court at 2:55 p.m. June 20. 

  • Michael Smeyne, 54, of Richboro, Pennsylvania, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for not wearing his seatbelt on Madison Street at 1:37 p.m. June 20. 
  • Leslie Cruz-Sanchez, 22, of Trenton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $250 from Princeton Municipal Court following a pedestrian stop on Birch Avenue at 11:11 p.m. June 19. 
  • Tricia Bitetto, 30, of Princeton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $186 from Princeton Municipal Court after a random license plate inquiry showed the outstanding warrant. She was stopped by police on Park Place at 2:07 a.m. June 19. 
  • Someone stole a Trek mountain bike, valued at $300, from a bike rack near the entrance to the Community Park Pool. The bicycle was not locked. The theft was reported at 10:45 a.m. June 18. 
  • A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police traced an abandoned backpack to him at 9:36 a.m. June 18. Someone had called police to report an abandoned backpack on Nassau Street, which resulted in an investigation. 
  • Michael Chonka, 19, of Lawrence Township, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for speeding on Lawrenceville Road at 12:34 a.m. June 17. 
  • Dritan Asani, 25, of Belle Mead, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $500 from Princeton Municipal Court after he was stopped on a failure to make repairs violation on Nassau Street at 2:18 p.m. June 16. 
  • A vandal scratched all four sides of a car that was parked in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of John Street between 9 p.m. June 14 and 10 a.m. June 15. It was reported at 6:29 p.m. June 15. 
  • Heather Kay, 33, of Hamilton Township, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $350 from Evesham Township Municipal Court after she was stopped on Monument Drive at 8:56 a.m. June 15 for failure to have her car inspected. 
  • A Pardoe Road resident reported the theft of 15 plants from his garden between 3 p.m. June 11 and 9 a.m. June 13. The theft was reported at 2:39 p.m. June 14. 
