Air Force Academy senior midfielder Christopher Allen and goalkeeper Doug Gouchoe represented the school at the 75th annual USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star game on May 27.
The annual postseason college lacrosse game features the best Division I and II players from the graduating class. The inaugural event occurred in 1940 at Municipal Stadium in Baltimore. It has been played yearly with the exception of 1944 and 1945.
Gouchoe is the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He helped lead the Falcons to a 15-2 overall record with a perfect mark in league action. He earned the SoCon tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award.
Team captain Allen logged 31 goals in 16 of 18 games. He scored his 12th career hat trick against Jacksonville on April 30; it was his fourth hat trick in seven league games. He was named to the All-SoCon First Team and the SoCon’s All-Tournament team.
The Hillsborough, N.J., native logged his 100th career point against Richmond on April 23, and concluded his career with 106 total points, eighth most in program history. Allen netted his 87th career goal against Notre Dame on May 14, the third-most in the program’s modern era.
